Boss Stewie Gets into a Car Accident

I was very busily driving around Jalan Kuching in KL today with Suet Li in the car chatting away when suddenly... I heard a loud bang and the entire car shook.

I looked in my rear view mirror only to find a white Kancil had hit me hard in the back.

I slowed my car to a stop, instantly causing a traffic jam in the middle of Jalan Kuching.

It felt rather odd as I looked around at all the passing cars that seemed to be slowing down just to look at the accident that had just happened.

I bet a number of them were slowing down to memorize both the numbers of my car and the Kancil to buy lottery by the end of the day.

Anyway, Suet Li stayed in the car as I opened the door and slowly walked towards the back of my car.

The first thing I saw was the Kancil that hit me.
It was a little damaged.

I paused for a few seconds before I dared to look at the damage on the back of my car.

Then when I garnered up enough guts to do so, I looked back and saw it.

There wasn't much damage. Just a little bit of paint transfer from the Kancil to my poor car.

I was relieved.

So lucky!!!

Almost like my Guardian Angel came out in the last minute to protect my car from further harm.
I looked at the driver of the white Kancil and he looked at me in a worried face.

"Takpe la Boss... saya punya kereta kena sikit saja."

I saw a sign of relief on his face, initially thinking that I was going to ask him to pay me since he it was clearly his fault for hitting my back.

He shook my hand and said
"Terima Kasih Boss... Saya tak sengaja punya".

I nodded and said that I had to run off to work now.

I asked him if his car could still move and he said he was going to let it cool down for a while then try again.

I then rushed off to work.

Later that afternoon, I went to the Police Station to decide if I should make a police report or not.

At the car park there, I noticed some car wreckages.

Cars that have been in really serious accidents.

I mean look at this.

Or this.
Or even this burned up Waja.
Suet Li was with me and she shivered at the sight of the wreckages.

If they were to make another "Berhati-hati Di Jalan Raya" Commercial.. they should do one with pictures like these.

I drove home... at 40km/h.

Many cars drove pass me and showed me the finger... but I smiled back at them.

This Dude Has The Coolest Car!

I was out clubbing in Penang last weekend with IcyQueenGoddess, Nicole and some friends when I happened to spot this car in the car park.
I must say... WHAT A PIMPED UP CAR ... in other words... what a BAPA AYAMMED car!!!

Actually.. "PIMPED UP CAR" should be... KERETA DIBAPA AYAMMED right?

LOOK AT IT!!!

And that's just the outside of the car. Who knows?

On the inside there might be a 60-inch Plasma TV, a gym, swimming pool and even a helicopter pad.

WHAT A PIMPED UP CAR!!!!

LOOK AT IT!!!

I mean if I were driving a car like that... I will most certainly be so popular with the ladies.

Maybe even with the la las... and la las are good. I like La La's !

Anyone want to help me pimp my Honda City to look like that?

I could do without the helicopter pad, but I would most certainly like the swimming pool.

The Nuffnang Penang Bloggers Meet

I started off the morning of our Bloggers Meet with a slow drive with Samantha and Nicole to meet some bloggers for breakfast.

In the car... Nicole took every opportunity she had to camwhore with my leetle amateur camera.

But I guess ... if the 'object' of the photograph is beautiful... you can use a crap camera and still end up with a pretty good picture.

So at breakfast... I met a number of KL bloggers that came all the way for the Nuffnang Penang Bloggers' Meet.

Among which are Earl Ku, Cely and Hong Kiat.

It was actually Lilian's idea to bring everyone out for a Nasi Kandar breakfast,
And she also brought... THIS CUTE LITTLE BOY!!!

Sooo cute lar he.

Anyway, right after breakfast I rushed over the Gurney Plaza's Food Loft to make the preparations for our meet and set up our Nuffnang Registration table.

Samantha was all dressed up with her Nuffnang collared-T and cap.

And if you ask me.. she looked really cute in it.

It wasn't long before bloggers starting arriving for the meet.

There was Criz Lai, one of the strongest Nuffnang supporters ever... so much that he put on a Nuffnang pin badge the minute he got hold of one.

Thanks Criz.
Then the rest came on.

This was about the time when I passed the camera on to one of my colleagues: Victor and told him to snap as many pictures as he could.

So he took these pictures of the first few people that came getting seated at Food Loft.

Our other kinda-official photographer that night was Daniel and for those of you from Penang.... Daniel owns the sprawling cybercafe chain Netcity.

I owe it to Daniel.

He took the effort to make an "We love Nuffnang" sign and had many blogger pose to take pictures with it.

Then before long.... the celebrity Mr Sia arrived with a big bang.

Everybody stopped to watch as the smiley blogger celebrity stood right in front of them in the flesh.
Cedric and Warren (the two bloggers that organized the activities of the meet) gave time for the bloggers to come and mingle for a while... but once everyone settled down... the games started with bloggers winning prizes sponsored by Exabytes.

Almost everybody at the meet took part in the games... except for Cely and Belle who I caught shy shy sitting away at a corner.

In between the games, the few of us from the Nuffnang team that showed up to help organize the meet got together for a group photo.

So did Kenny and Nicole who managed to grab a shot with the Star journalists who were there.
All in all, everyone left the event with a very happy face.

I was delighted to hear the great feedback with everyone saying that they couldn't have enjoyed it more.

This I owe to Cedric, Warren and the Nuffnang team who was there to help plan the event.

And lets not forget.. the Nuffnangers who attended and made the event the success it was.

It was so fulfilling to see so many bloggers laughing and screaming away.

Speaking of "fulfilling".... a particular blogger there that day really made my day.

Her name is Jess (the nice girl on the right).

While I was a little distracted at the meet, Jess pulled me aside and introduced herself.

She said she rushed back all the way from Australia to make it to this meet just to meet Kenny Sia and Me.

Yeah I can imagine that a lot of people would rush even from Antarctica to meet Kenny Sia... but it's not every day that I get a reader like this.

Another thing about her caught me by surprise:
Now I know most of you guys who read my blog regularly followed me from Leng Mou and that I am grateful for.

But Jess is the first reader I know who only got to know about me from timothytiah.blogspot.com and has since been visiting my blog.

Thank you Jess... you really made my day.

Things that Disturb Me

Sometimes when I'm around, I see some rather disturbing things.

Example number 1.

There was once I was driving home from work when I happened to stop at the traffic light. Just to the pavement on my right was a little kitten. I wasn't sure if it was dead or asleep... but either ways, I'm sure I wouldn't see it there again the next day.

I mean, if it was asleep then it would wake up and go somewhere else.

If it was dead then the MPPP (Majilis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang) will come sweep it away.

Well.. I was wrong.

One week later... at the very same spot.... it became this.
Then I went to KL for a few weeks and well..

One month later... it was still there..

Only that it went from this

To this
Now I'm not sure whose job it is to sweep the roads but... I was so close to getting down from my car and sweeping the poor kitten up and giving it a proper burial when the light turned green and the cars behind started honking.

Then at another time.. I was at Queensbay Mall.
Queensbay Mall is a fantastic mall in Penang.

I love it... our very own 1-Utama up north.

But while walking through the stairs down from the car park, I happened to see this.

To the Ah Beng who is responsible for this piece of "art".

Well done... well done... I can't think of anything else more original to draw.

Shame on you!

Jessica Alba says....

I love Jessica Alba.

Always have, always will.

I mean, when you have someone as cute and pretty as this. How can you not love her?

Here's another reason to love her.

She apparently said that she's all up for one night stands as long as the guy doesn't stick around the next morning.

According to Cosmopolitan Magazine, she said

""I just wanted to see what it was like to be with different people.

I don't think a girl's a slut if she enjoys sex. I could have a one-night stand, and I'm the kind of girl who looks over in the morning and is like, 'Do you really have to be here?'

I don't need to cuddle and do all that stuff because I know what it is and I don't try to make it more. I feel like a lot of women try to make it into more, so they don't feel so bad about just wanting to have sex.

I don't really have a problem with just wanting sex. Never have.

Even when I was a virgin and wanted to marry the first guy who I slept with, I never passed any judgments about that. But now I'm done with dating around.""

Now ladies... I want your opinion.
Would you consider that statement... "Girl Power"?

Boss Stewie's New Toy!

On Saturday, a friend introduced me to the joys of the Nintendo Wii (pronounced "Wee").

And on Sunday... I found myself all the way at Sungai Wang... and coming home with.....

*Drum roll*

TAADDAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa

I couldn't help it... the Wii experience is just totally out of this world.

Let me bring you in on a little bit of what it's like in a minute.

First... the UNPACKING.
I normally hate installing stuff like this but the Wii has made it so easy... excellent for people like me who never read instruction manuals.

After just a few minutes of installation and plugging it into the TV...

TADAAAAAA!!!!
IT LIVES!!!!

The most fun part of the Wii is this.

Now I never was the kind to play game consoles because I never got used to the controllers.

But the Wii is so simple. The controller is shaped to be like a TV remote so it doesn't look out of place when you have it on your living room table and there are only a few buttons on it.

The real action of the remote comes from waving it around.

For example, if you're playing a game of tennis.

Then you hold and swing your Wii Remote just like how you would do for a real tennis racket.

If you're playing golf, you do the same.

Or even if you're bowling, you hold the remote and swing like you're swinging a real bowling ball.

It is sooo cool..

Oh and there is one more thing cool about the Wii.

And it's not just that it looks cool.

It's the Mii!!!

Miis are your own personalized characters that you use to play the games.

You can customize your own Mii.

First deciding of course whether it's a guy Mii or a girl Mii.

And no guys...unlike games like WoW, it doesn't help pretending to be a female character since the person you're playing with is going to be right next to you.

You won't be getting any special treatment.

Then, once you select your gender.

You can go ahead and customize your Mii to have it look like you or like anyone else.

Here's my Mii.

Look just like me or not?

Ming, I'm seriously considering getting one for at least one of our offices.
